Christoph Möckel (born in 1986) grew up surrounded by music and theater. Already in school he toured with Big Band and Choir in Europe and in the USA. From 2006-2011 he studied Jazz-Saxophone at the conservatoy in Cologne with Claudius Valk, Frank Gratkowski and Wolfgang Engsfeld, and he also got lessons from Mark Turner, Steve Coleman, Ignaz Dinné, Florian Ross and Hayden Chisholm.

He had the chance to share stage with artists like John Hollenbeck, Gary Versace, Theo Bleckmann, Rick Margitza, Michael Abene and Marc Ducret in different big band projects and played on various festivals including „Jazzfestival Athens“, „Leverkusener Jazztage“, „Jazzwoche Burghausen“, „Jazzahead Bremen“, „Cologne Jazz Night“, and „Autumn Leaves Jazzfestival Luxembourg“.
