Vibraphone / Composition

Born in 1986 and raised near Hamburg. Played the drums from age 8 till 18 until he switched to the vibraphone. After several lessons and workshops with Florian Poser, David Friedman, Franck Tortiller and others he began his studies with Prof. Tom Van der Geld at the music conservatory in cologne in 2007. Now he works, still studying, as a freelance musician in the jazzscene of Cologne and beyond as a sideman or with his own projects like the "Offshore Quintet", the "Ensemble 4.8" or the "Charlotte Greve / Dierk Peters Duo".

With the "Charlotte Greve / Dierk Peters Duo" he won the "Jugend Jazzt" competions, regional in 2006 and national in 2007. He also got soloist prices both times. In 2008 the duo earned the "Praetorius Musik Preis - Niedersachsen", the highest music price of his state.

He also got a special soloist price at the "B-Jazz" competition in Burghausen and won the "Convento Jazzpreis" with his Band, the Offshore Quintet, both in 2011.
